Luis Suarez is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish club Barcelona and for the Uruguay national team. Born in Salto, Uruguay, Suarez began his career with local club Nacional in 2003. He transferred to Dutch club Groningen in 2006, before signing for Liverpool two years later. FWA in 2014. After four successful seasons at Anfield, he moved to Barcelona in a deal worth £75m (€94m). At Barcelona, Suarez won four La Liga titles, four Copas del Rey, three Supercopas de España and one UEFA Champions League. A prolific goalscorer, Suarez is currently ranked sixth in FC Barcelona's goalscoring chart and seventh in Uruguay's all-time goalscoring chart. With 57 goals in 111 appearances for Uruguay since his debut in 2007, he is also the country's all-time top scorer.
