This illustration of Gatterwe is called Flower Power. Flower Power was a slogan used by hippies during the 1960s and 1970s. The flower was one of the symbols of their nonviolent ideology. The power of the flower manifested itself in actions such as offering a flower to a police officer during a demonstration or slipping a flower into the barrel of a rifle.
